Ada County Highway District

2017 Cul-De-Sac

Project Update as of 8/17/17:  Cul-de-sacs are complete. All parking lots (except the Commuteride parking lot) is complete.

General Description:
Beginning at the end of March 2017, the Ada County Highway District will begin the preventative maintenance treatment of several cul-de-sacs throughout Ada County. The treatment, called a slurry seal, is very similar to the chip seal process, which coats the road with a protective sealant and helps prolong the life of the road. Regular chip sealing equipment cannot fit into tight areas such as cul-de-sacs. The slurry seal treatment was designed specifically for the confines and tight turns of a cul-de-sac. The areas to be treated include:

  • State Street and Star Road
  • State Street and Floating Feather Road
  • Chinden Boulevard and Linder Road
Time Frame

Start Date:
March 2017
End Date:
Early Summer  2017
