Events and Road Construction to Impact Traffic

Local events in Ada County, as well as several road construction projects, will impact several roadways.

 
-    Fairview Avenue approaching Cole Road, will be reduced to two lanes from April 17 through June 16 as part of the intersection widening project.
-    The Capital City Public Market reopens this Saturday, April 15. Eighth Street between Main Street and State Street will be closed between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
-    The Retro Robie will be held at high noon on Saturday, April 15. Almost 2,440 participants are expected, and the Boise Police Department and Boise Motor Escort are assisting with traffic. The race route is as follows:

  • Start Fort Boise Park (northwest corner of Fort Street and Reserve Street)
  • Northeast on Reserve Street to Shaw Mountain Road
  • Shaw Mountain Road northeast to Rocky Canyon Road
  • Left on Rocky Canyon Road
  • 5 miles up Rocky Canyon Road
  • Over Adalpe Summit
  • Finish at Robie Creek Campground

 

-    The Spring Breakout Series will hold another bicycle race Saturday, April 15 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Over 150 participants are expected, and the Boise Motor Escort will be assisting with traffic at this event. The race route is as follows:

  • Start on S. Cloverdale Road south of W. Poen Road
  • North on S. Cloverdale Road to W. Poen Road
  • West on W. Poen Road to Swan Falls Road
  • North on Swan Falls Road to King Road
  • East on King Road to Eagle Road
  • South on Eagle Road to Kuna Mora Road
  • East on Kuna Mora Road to S. Cloverdale Road
  • Finish just south of W. Poen Road

 

-    2nd Street (northbound) between Myrtle Street and Front Street will be closed at night April 20-21 for power line work.
-    3rd Street between Jefferson Street and Main Street will be closed at night April 21-24 for milling and paving.
-    3rd Street between Front Street and Jefferson Street will have lane and pedestrian restrictions with flagging April 17-May 5 for road construction, storm water and pedestrian improvements.
-    3rd Street (northeast) between Ada Street and Bower Street will have lane restrictions with flagging April 20 for water service installation.
-    5th St NE from Carlton Avenue to Washington Avenue will be closed April 17-May 5 for sewer work.
-    6th Street between Front Street and Myrtle Street will be closed April 17-21 for the CCDC Streetscape Project.
-    The east leg of Capitol Boulevard between Bannock Street and Jefferson Street will be closed April 17-21 for concrete repair.
-    Cloverdale Road between Musket Drive and Goldenrod Avenue will have lane restrictions with flagging April 18-20 for paving.
-    Emerald Street west of Palace Row will have lane and pedestrian restrictions with flagging April 17-28 to allow crews to construct an entrance and tie-in water line.
-    Executive Drive between Meadowland Drive and Partridge Place will have lane restrictions with flagging April 17-28 for utility work.
-    Federal Way south of Gowen Road will have lane restrictions April 17-21 for utility work.
-    The north side of Franklin Road between Black Cat Road to ¼ mile east of Ten Mile Road, will have lane restrictions with flagging April 17-May 19 for utility work.
-    Gary Lane between State Street and Saxton Drive will be closed at night April 21-23 for sewer work. No access will be allowed between State Street and Bunch Court.
-    Glenwood Street northbound approaching State Street will have nighttime lane restrictions April 21-23 for sewer work.
-    Main Street, east of 5th Street to 3rd Street will have lane and pedestrian restrictions with flagging April 17-21 for storm drain installation.
-    The intersection of Meridian Road and Ashton Drive will have lane restrictions April 17 for fiber work.
-    The intersection of Meridian Road and Woodbury Drive will have lane and pedestrian restrictions with flagging April 18 for overhead maintenance.
-    Myrtle Street between 3rd Street and 2nd Street will have nighttime lane restrictions April 20-21 for power line work.
-    Pierce Park Lane south of Hill Road will have lane restrictions with flagging April 17-21 for sewer, gas and frontage work.
-    Pierce Park Lane south of Hill Road will have lane restrictions with flagging April 19-20 for water service installation.
-    Stroebel Road at Indian Creek between King Road and Kuna Road will have lane restrictions April 16-May 17 for bridge replacement.
-    Ustick Road between Locust Grove Road and Troxell Way will have multiple lane restrictions (only two lanes open) April 17-18 for water service installation for a new subdivision.
-    Ustick Road west of Christine Street will have lane and pedestrian restrictions April 21-28 to allow crews to replace curb, gutter and sidewalk.
-    The intersection of Ustick Road and Locust Grove Road will have nighttime lane restrictions with flagging April 17-18 for gas main work.
-    Cole Road north of Century Way to South of Lemhi Street will have lane restrictions April 18-25 for fiber work.
-    Pennsylvania Street east of Meyers Street will have lane restrictions with flagging April 17-25 for power pole work.
-    Edgewood Lane south of Hill Road will have lane restrictions with flagging April 17-24 for storm drain work.
-    Warm Springs Avenue north of Sky Bar Street will have lane restrictions with flagging April 17-19 for sewer work.
